Artist Statement

The use of text has featured heavily in my work, becoming the predominant means of expression, exploring text in relation to issues of censorship, forgotten and distasteful histories as well as controversial and political material. Centering these issues around the notion of the negation of history. This is of importance to me as often material of this nature is miss represented, misinterpreted or neglected. My work renders itself in a reduced style, where the work uses minimal components to convey its message.
